Converting to TAM or Epic doesn’t have to be painful ! (Tip #2)

You can save yourself a bunch of headaches by cleaning up your data long before you even begin your conversion process.

Tip #2 – Conversion programming scripts can sometimes choke with wacko policy numbers with spaces and dashes, not to mention smiley faces.  Sometimes systems allow open estates when you have continuous policies like some bonds have.  Save yourself the hassle, and your favorite programmer the nightmare and cleanup your policy numbers and expiration dates.  If you download, make sure to check the way the company download handles policy numbers before you go cleaning stuff up, just in case they’re gonna overwrite all your hard work.
