Converting to TAM or Epic doesn’t have to be painful ! (Tip #5)

You can save yourself a bunch of headaches by cleaning up your data long before you even begin your conversion process.

Lots of clients I work with have a zillion policy types, with only a moderate percentage of them that are actually in use in their active system.  Run your expiration list in Excel and dump it into a pivot table to actually see what you’re really using.  Look at your policy types list and decide what you really need to move forward into your new system.

While you’re in your pivot table groove, do the same thing for your activities.  If you’ve got more than about 30 or so activities, we need to talk.  You staff will love you for streamlining their account documentation options and you’ll increase the quality of your data all at the same time.
