While the onsite training sessions are designed to give hands-on access to Epic, it’s always different when a user gets back to his/her own desk.  Once onsite training is completed, Best-practices agencies engage actively in a “test workflow” focus where they are practicing in Epic, about 20% of what they are doing in their source system routinely.  Some Best-practices agencies mandate that a series of position specific key workflow be practices in Epic Testing several times between onsite training and GoLive week and run Activity Reports for tracking participation.  Epic Help is a good tool for assisting users with questions they run into while conducting test workflows.

Cube signs with “Can I Do This in Epic?” and other reminders of the Test Workflow focus are good visuals to encourage users to practice what they are learning, not just the threat of the reports that will be run to make sure users are going through the test workflows consistently.
